Description
This painting aims to capture the depth and reflections of the afternoon sunlight appearing through the blue glass vase. It also contrasts the beautiful silk lines in the material against the blue and purple of the irises. The single orange and red tulip stands alone in contrast to the irises and then also subtly reflects in the vase. This painting captures the viewer’s attention as the vase appears three dimensional.
This painting received an Honorable Mention Award for the 2nd Annual Primary Colours Competition for the Light, Space and Time Online gallery in 2020. It was placed in the top 15 artists from 772 entries received from 34 countries.
