Description
This is painted in the traditional oil painting method. It is a double image which asks the viewer to look more closely to see the reflection in the water reveals what is hidden in the light.
This painting reminds me a great deal of my childhood. It was spent exploring and playing amongst bull rushes, trees and streams. It reminds me of capturing that fleeting moment in life where everything for one moment is good and beautiful and perfect but like seasons it changes. It captures that golden moment. This was painted from a beautiful image courtesy of Lori Wilcox McCray. This painting received a Special Recognition Award in the 10th Annual Open Competition from 1000 entries in the online Light, Space and Time Gallery in 2020.
Nothing Gold Can Stay is also available as a Limited Edition Reproduction in an edition of 200.
