Description

A painting depicting the beauty of a field of wild lotuses.  I have used a variety of green tones, pink and violet hues in this painting.  I wanted to create a lush depiction of lotuses growing amongst various plants and grasses.  I have used light to highlight the main lotus flower and the background field of tall grass. I have made the painting quite busy to show the ability of nature to create beauty in any environment and I wanted the viewer to find something new in the painting each time they look at it.
